Welcome to the Samaritan Counseling Center PDF Print E-mail

To offer hope, healing and restoration to wholeness in a confidential manner that is professional, ethical, caring and accessible to all. We can provide, for those who so desire, a unique integration of psychotherapy and spirituality in our counseling, education and consulting services.

At Samaritan Counseling Center, we offer a safe place for discovery, healing and growth. In our fast-paced world, it is difficult to escape the pressures and complexities of daily living. We believe psychology and spirituality – together – provide a foundation for mental health, personal growth, resolving problems and getting more out of life.

We provide a unique kind of psychotherapy that takes spirituality and faith seriously to meet the needs of individuals of all faiths or no faith.

Our offices are conveniently located with ample parking and near public transportation in the Chicago Loop & Lincoln Park neighborhoods and all along Chicago’s North Shore. Our staff therapists are licensed, certified and theologically informed.  Samaritan Counseling Center is accredited by the Denver-based Samaritan organization.

Getting Started…

Please email us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or call our confidential intake line (847-446-6955, ext. 20) and leave a message for our Clinical Director, Dr. Sue Priebe.

She will return your call and ask for a brief description of why you are seeking counseling, and then determine the therapist who would be the best match for you. Based on the information you give her, she will then ask one of our therapists to call you and make a first appointment.

After you have scheduled an appointment with a counselor, you may print and fill out the intake form by using the link below and take it with you on your first visit. Doing this ahead of time will expedite procedures during your first visit. You may want to review the counseling agreement also.
