Kathleen Philben Print E-mail

Kathleen Philben, PhD. is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and a Fellow in the American Association of Pastoral Counselors.  Since joining the Center in 1988, she has counseled a wide range of clients focusing on women and their unique needs and issues.  Dr. Philben specializes in treating depression and anxiety as well as issues of life transition such as divorce, grief and aging.  She recently completed a certificate program in gerontology sponsored by the Illinois Psychological Association.  Understanding the challenges of older adults and their families is an area of great interest to her.  Dr. Philben also gives presentations on the mind-body connection and the effects of meditation on physical, emotional and spiritual well-being.  She holds an MA degree in Religious Studies from Mundelein College and PhD in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
